ten more days, or maybe it's eleven ... cannot WAIT to get out of this snow and rain and hail and wind ... I don't like it any more than my chickens do

hoping to touch base with other BYCers ... on Maui or other if you happen to drop in ....

I'm planning to build a nice coop for whatever chickens I can find ... I don't know if any of the nine chicks from last year, managed to survive .... hoping to get an Easter Egger or two or three ... we won't be there long enough to raise chicks from Day One

on Maui at last; three hens survived out of last year's chicks, and two of the three have gone broody; we tucked six green fertile EE eggs under them and in a couple of weeks we will see what hatches out .... no roosters here, the eggs came from our friends who run a mixed flock and sell eggs at the Farmers Market

Aloha everyone, there actually two hatcheries here on the islands, one on Oahu offering up some commercial stock i think they have 3 breeds to choose from and then there is www.halemalufarms.com Hale Malu Farms /Franklin Hatchery offers a variety of poultry for sale including chicks and pullets they are also the only place where you can buy birds hatched but cackle hatchery and the Smith family. so before you spend all that money in shipping try us first and check us out on facebook at www.halemalufarms/eggbarron or www.halemalufarms/poultrybarron or just call.
