Are sex-link roosters fertile?

I have a rooster I bought as a chick a year ago. At first I thought he was a Barred Rock, so I got for him 2 Barred Rock hens. One hen went broody a few weeks ago, and sat on 11 eggs for 3 weeks. As hatching time approached, the eggs slowly disappeared. (I think she realized they weren't fertile, and was breaking and eating them.) Soon there was nothing left but a TERRIBLE smell! Now I just learned that the rooster might be a black sex-link. I've seen info about sex-link hens reproducing, but noting about roosters. Does anyone know?

Sex link birds are simply mixed breed birds with a cool genetic mix that allows you to tell male from female. They're just as fertile as any other mixed breed animal. I had a black sex link rooster as my main flock rooster for years and hatched lots of cool babies from him.
