I have 13 chicks outgrowing a brooder. They are about 8.5 weeks old.
I think most of them are pullets. Particularly the black sexlinked - I don't expect many mistakes there.
To my untrained eye, two of them are likely cocks. They have fatter combs than the others.
One is a Rhode Island Red. Two of the reds hatched from eggs (the eggs weren't marked with gender
. The rest were sexed pullets from a store.
The other is a barnyard mix chick that hatched from an egg.
For extra credit, you can guess the parents of the barnyard mix.
If there is not enough information here, I'll accept tips on what to look for and other camera angles. I may have to try to catch them.
