Anyone have any experience with these folks?

Fancy chicks hatcher

Bottom line: 25 Chicks for $2.10 ea + $20 delivery = $72.50 for 25 of them.

Info from the site:

Our current assortment of Freedom Ranger day-old chicks is made of:

Redbro - Yellow - Tricolors

Based on the results and experiences of our own flocks and our customers’ flocks, the Freedom Ranger assortment will reach 5 to 6 LBS Live Weight in a minimum of 9 weeks and a maximum of 11 weeks.

NOTE: When you order Freedom Ranger chicks, you will receive an assortment of all in stock varieties mentioned above.

Feed:
Use chick starter with a protein content of 21-22% and meds for the first 2-3 weeks.
Then you can use 18-19% protein grower until around week 7.
Finish them out on 16-17% protein finisher.

Any and all thoughts and opinions are welcome & encouraged!

I'm waiting for Ideal to respond about the App Spitz hatch date but would be willing to split an order of these poullet rouge chicks with someone.

So's I'm just about to go up to bed and my beautiful wife says,

"If you want that many chickens, why don't you just let them reproduce?"

?? All I know is he used an electro-surge instrument on his voice box. ??

ETA: My roo just died. I imagine it was internal hemorrhage. Shucks!

Well there you have it.

I wonder how many of Dr. Anderson's de-crowing operations have actually worked now.

Hubby tells me to come outside and look at Millie. So there she is standing on their outside roost with an Easter Egg stuck to her side. I am guessing that an egg broke while she was setting and that is how this happened. She was setting when I let them out at 5:45. This pic is right before her bath. She enjoyed her bath, blow dry and pedicure.

The poor thing doesn't have any feathers under her. She is going through a molt.
