OldNewChick, I have the perfect dog for you. He was abandoned and I took him in. He is 90% housebroke, knows some obedience, gets along well with chickens, ducks, horses, cats and other dogs.

He has all shots up to date, is neutered, has his bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

His name is Sampson.

Here is the pitbull/lab mix that we fostered for a year. She finally went to a special home with a man with cerebral palsy. If all pittys were like her, I'd have several! She was a joy to have.

i have three dogs, a german shorthair pointer, a beagle and a pit. the pit was a rescued dog off the street when i used to live in LA. out of the three, she is the most affectionate and gentle (although the other two are obnoxious boys). i wouldn't have ever chosen a pit but i had no choice but to take her in and fatten her back up. haven't regretted it one day.
