Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

A weird thinking out loud question here. I was wondering others opinions on whether a rooster could kill a chicken... I went out yesterday afternoon as I heard one of the D'Uccles screaming. My 3/4 grown frizzle cross Aussie rooster had it by the neck and was tossing it about quite violently. Now the two that died the other day only had a visible mark to the side of their necks. I would not have thought this possible if I had not seen it for myself. Maybe it is just a coincidence but a strange one if it is. MY rooster will now be off to freezer camp on the weekend.

Forgot to add miss D'Uccle was uninjured thankfully.

Hi Satay. I think you may have workout the culprit. He could have broken their necks. It is easy to do. When I was researching how to dispatch chicken for food one method was to swing them by the head not pleasant but effective. I would assume if an aggressive rooster did the same it would result in deaths.

Thanks Sam. I have never had one do anything like this before. Poor girls that would have been a horrid way to go and I guess would explain the head issues other miss pekin is having, though she is getting better day by day,

How do you all do the "deed" with unwanted roosters headed to freezer camp?
