That was an excellent link about pasty butt. I have, unknowingly, done the correct thing with the two chicks that had this even down to the hair dryer. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks for that. Space isn't an issue with this one as there are only four chicks in that brooder, but I have to admit the second one, with the newest bubs, is getting rather full. Looking for something larger!! What is acv?

Apple cider vinegar . It's not space as much as the chicks need to be able get away from the lamp if it's too hot. If the water dish isn't placed far enough away from the lamp , the water becomes warm and bacteria grows,

Thanks, I was on the train and it pulled into my station so had to post the photo before I finished typing.

I was going to say, I love those young girls of yours. Particularly the one peering into the camera. My girls are getting on bit. I have had people try and get Lizzy off me - not a chance.

I'll post photos of her good side - with the eye, when I find a couple, and of Fraidy who is lighter blue.

Also I followed the link to your website the other week. Nice job.
