Hi, I have a wonderful young rooster who is tame and yet very male. He is just learning to crow. We got him from a feed store to help re-hab an injured wild turkey, he was supposed to be a female (I guess that's only 87% accurate!).

Does anyone near me want a rooster? He is gorgeous! We call him Glambird (yeah, I knew I shouldn't have named him!). I can't keep him in the suburbs.

I've tried the local feed stores and craigslist.

I will deliver him to you.

I'd love to purchase a few hens who are ready to lay and who would love a little daily free range in my backyard to eat the bugs! I don't really care what kind as long as they are hens and sort of quiet.

Have a very backyard chicken day!

Susan, PM for contact info [edited out, thx!]

Bummer, I'm too far away.

ETA: You may want to take your personal info out of the post. You can always PM the info to people interested in the rooster.

Thanks everyone, our bird has been placed, he's already in his new digs and we have 2 hens now (crosses fingers!!!)

It took a while for the hens to get comfy, long drive followed by new dog and thunder storm had them hiding, But some meal worms got them to come out for us for a little bit.
