B.Y.C. Dorking Club!

Well, my non-breeding cockerel was moved in with an Orp hen in my garage. This morning I find two eggs, one white, one brown. Now I'm not an idiot, but this newly discovered SGD hen does not have any salmon tint to her breast feathers. Bright white. Do not buy from Sand Hill is all I can say.

So now I urgently need a breeding SGD roo. I am in Indiana. I recall someone in Ohio raises them. Hope I can find her. Any leads appreciated. I really like the breed but had hoped to make more this season.

Someone to try:

So I have one dorking and I love her she is so funny. I think I'm going to get a few more. Is she a colored dorking or a red?

Has anyone had an SGD hen without salmon breast feathers? She is from Sand Hill. Gray back markings are typical for SGD. We love our four girls but need a roo. I had to order chicks from Murray McMurray to get boys, so no chicks til next year.
