Not true, if you restrict their food they lay eggs at about 10 months and mine lived for a year and a half then they were butchered and were HUGE but I crossed mine with a black Australorps roo and got about 100 chicks that were CXs/Black australorpsIt's a cornish cross not going to live long enough to breed, only another 6 or 7 weeks left to live.
