Baby emu hatched last night, Can't stand.

IT hatched last night, It lifts it's head but will not stand up. Is this normal? This is the first emu chick I have ever hatched. It does not look like splay-leg. Is it just weak? Does it need time to get some sturdiness in those HUGE legs? Any help will be apppreciated.

There a few here on this site that recently hatched some emu's....maybe you could PM them and ask. Just do an EMU search in the search bar and you'll find people who hatch these guys...that's the best info. I can offer

Mine took 2 days to fully find his legs. He couldn't really stand at all the first day. Your baby is probably fine, just weak from hatching.
