I have gone to wally world and bought inexpensive cloth. I usually just tuck into the chair I use.....Another example..some NN babies.

I got 8 bantam Cochins this spring, ended up with 2 pullets. I intend for these to be broody hens. How many cockerels are recommended to keep with the hens?

I'm a quilter, so i have mostly cotton scraps in every color or pattern imaginable. I just grab something to offset the color of the bird I'm taking a picture of.

Scraps work well, because you know they are gonna poop on it!

1 is more than enough for 2, probably need a couple more hens. If I had some, I would assist in your hour of need . I have plenty of D'uccles ... what am I talking about, I just hatched 11 Bantam calico Cochin. Where do you live?

I *USED* to live in Myerstown, but that was 2 lifetimes ago! Now I am in Nebraska, lonely and far away...

So pathetic, somehow I have neglected to take them! I will have to rectify that tonight. They are so adorable!! Smooth & frizzled! So precious.
