My barred rock, Betsy, has been being "mated" by at least one of my other LF hens. Her back is completely treaded and her head is a balding mess. Her belly feathers are short and frayed...have been for awhile now...and she has lost the majority of the feathers around her vent now. At first I thought it was just a case of bullying, but things are not improving with coop swaps. Could she be sick?? (I do have bantam roosters, but I haven't ever seen them even try to mate my LF hens and they aren't cooped with my LF girls...they only free range together.) She seems to be eating and drinking fine and has energy to free range too.
Any ideas??
