I started keeping bees recently. I was able to take an existing hive out of a dog house and start it in a new hive at the back of my property.
With the transfer I have several honey combs that the bees are using at the moment outside of the hive. When they are finished with the combs, can I give them to the chickens?
Thank you

Mine have ignored them. It's best not to keep open honey combs outside the hive because it attracts other bees and induces robbing.
Instead, add a hive body to the brood chamber and put the comb inside under the cover.

Thank you. I just brought this batch of bees over yesterday. We thought it a good idea to leave them a little reserve comb yesterday afternoon. I have already taken them away.
So your chickens do not even try the comb?
