I am looking for blue and lavender Orpington. Just for hobby, I can't spend a ton of money on these birds. If anyone fits the bill let me know.

You looking for chicks or full grown birds? Where do you live?

Probably eggs would be the way to go. Chicks are a lot more expensive. I live in Whitney, TX. About 40 minutes north of Waco.

Even though they are cheaper, you will not get a reasonable hatch from most shipped eggs. Meaning if you pay $50 for a dozen eggs, you might get 6 chicks if you are lucky. So they become $10 chicks or more depending on how many hatch. No one will guarantee hatch.

Look for someone close to you that you can pick up eggs or don't ship from far away and you should have more success.
