Black Australorp or Asian Black?

I bought a couple Asian Black pullets the end of April, and have recently been looking at Australorps. My Betty looks so much like an Australorp now, but when she was a chick, she was mostly black with very little white. I realize Asians aren’t a ‘breed’ and there is no standard, but could I have gotten an Australorp? She does have a little brown on the chest, but her feathers are super soft with a green/purple sheen.

At least it's not a Jersey Giant ... That's what MY "Australorp" turned out to be. She's very, very sweet ... but she's HUGE!

Thank you. That is what I figured. It seems like I’m the only person who actually got what I paid for from TSC

Psst I've had all 3 aforementioned breeds

I bought two "Asian" chicks from TSC this spring and they have both turned out to look a lot like Marans. I can't find any information to say that Asian is even a recognized breed. Can anyone help identify? Both have many iridescent feathers on their mostly black backs, golden neck and head feathers, and have started laying brown eggs. Thanks!

They are asian blacks.

Thanks for posting your pics. I bought some straight run mixed breeds and I wasn’t sure what some of them were. After seeing your pics I’m pretty sure they are Asian Blacks.

@jjrussell - You'll like your Asians! I just raised six for a friend - and they're nice ladies - good dispositions (they followed us all around the yard!) and very pretty - varying shades of copper mixed in with a green-top-coated black. They also lay BIG brown eggs!
