Wow, this is really a tough one. I've had both light brahmas and buff Cochins and like both of them. Both are very friendly and gentle breeds although I'd probably give the Cochins a very slight nod in this area. The brahmas lay somewhat better but the Cochins are a little prettier (in my opinion) and are unsurpassed as brooders and mothers.
