I got the back in August from our local farm store from the "rare choice pullet" bin and I thinks it's black copper marans its about 11-12 weeks old there are a few copper fethers on the neck. I wondering if it's truly a pullet due to te red face. No crowing yet. The possible breds are:

Partridge Plymouth Rock, Midnight Majesty Maran, Sapphire Olive Egger, Speckled Sussex, Blue Andalusian, Silver Lakenvelder, Cuckoo Maran, French Black Copper Marans, Welsummer, Barnevelder, Prairie Bluebell Egger, Starlight Green Egger, Olive Egger, Salmon Faverolles, Cochins, Turkens, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, Columbian Wyandotte, Light Brahma, Buff Brahma, Dark Brahma, and Lavender Orpington.

Welcome to BYC.

That lovely bird is rather red for a pullet. It's just time that the sex-specific hackle and saddle feathers might start showing -- possibly lurking under the juvenile feathers but visible if you part those feathers and look close to the skin.

Or you may need to wait another month to see them depending on speed of development.

I got them as chicks from the farm store. So based on that we got them at 1-2 weeks old at most it should be 13ish weeks in the picture.
