I know its very early to even be thinking about this, but I just get so excited! So I have a beautiful buff orpington roo, (as seen in profile pic) and this will probably be his last viable breeding year (he is either 3 or 4, we rescued him so not sure) and I have a variety of hens. (17 to be exact)
I have
a white leghorn
a black jersey giant
a Welsummer mix (she was a rescue so I don't know what she is)
a lavender Orpington
a blue/black splash Orpington
exchequer leghorns
a blue splash maran
a blue copper maran
an easter egger
an olive egger
silver penciled plymouth rocks
blue laced red wyandottes
A gloden laced wyandotte

any ideas on what would be the best combo??
thanks!! also my rooster is in the photo below (the gold one)

so like if i was to breed my silver penciled plymouth rocks to the BO roo would i get sex links??
Yes, you should get sexlinks from that pairing (gold daughters, silver sons.)

I do not know if you will be able to sex them at hatch (gold vs. silver), or if you will have to wait a bit (if they all show mostly black down, or mostly white down, you might have to wait until they grow some feathers that show gold or silver before you can tell which they are.)
