Broody Shadow On Day 18....They're hatching! Hatch Complete

When I went to check on her this a.m., heard cracking and cheeping. The BR is already out, saw it's little fluffy head and it seems like a pullet! That is the first baby of Ivy's (who is over three years old) that I have hatched here. Today is Day 20 and technically, it's about half over now.

LOL, I get those little Corningware casserole dishes anywhere I see them at a yard sale. That is a small one and I have two larger ones. They are quite heavy and wide bottomed, so are wonderful food dishes when I need more than I have actual feeders for. We removed it awhile ago and replaced it with a regular chick feeder for the babies. Pics will be coming when they get out from under mama.

Yay! I've been wondering about Shadow! She will be most adorable mama ever!

No kidding, Lynn! And especially the Orpies. Now, if they'd just wake up and get a move on, I could see what colors I got this time around. Not sure what I'm going to do with them, though. I really don't need more birds and I plan to keep Ivy's daughter.

***One of the Orps is out and it's definitely blue.
