Bump on neck, what could it be?

Anyone know what would cause a large bulge in the right side of a chick's neck?? It was apparent when received from the hatchery. Could it possibly be due to Marek's vaccine? Any ideas on how to deal with it? It is definitely not symmetrical. Otherwise the chick appears healthy and active.

How does it feel, firm, soft, like its filled with air? If it feels like it's filled with air, it may be a ruptured air sac. That would coincide with the location of the bump, as it's near the cervical air sacs.

Air sac ruptures are usually caused by an injury to the area. With your chick, that might have happened if they improperly gave the injection, or if damage was done to the chick during shipment.

Me personally i'd go back to the hatchery where you got it and get a replacement.
talk to them and find out what the issue is.
