Can I use rosemary to ward off cats?

My HOA neighborhood grows rosemary everywhere at our park for ornamental purpose, they highly encourage you to take cuttings to use them and grow your own rosemary. I have always noticed the cats hated going to the park, because of the rosemary.

Can I use rosemary cuttings and lay them on the run floor and maybe even then coop floor to ward off cats? Or is that just a bad idea?

yes but they have feed and a lot of space and room, it dosent matter that they eat and shred them, its the scent of rosemary that the cats hate

Rosemary never bothered my cats enough to keep them out of the area.
You could always try it, though. See what happens
