Cayuga surprise (we think)

We bought 2 straight run Cayuga's last year as babies - with the hope they would be at least 1 hen. Both ended up with the telltale curled tail feather. We have 7 laying hens and the last few days have been getting 8 eggs! Is it possible for a Cayuga to have curled tail feather and end up a female??? The one Cayuga is a very obvious drake as he is dominant, the other is not. Or - can at least 1 female lay more than 1 egg per day? I originally thought I missed an egg, but it has happened at least 4 days now.
Thanks!

Curled duck tail is found only on drakes as far as I know. Female ducks quack-loudly. Drakes have a softer raspy voice, but do not quack. Chickens laying twice a day is uncommon, but possible.
