Cell Phone+egg=mss

So i get home from work and walk the dogs down to the coop to see what beautiful eggs the hens left for me today. I gather the eggs and put them in my coat pockets, forgeting my cell phone is in one. I bend over to dump the ice out of the water pan and hear "POP!". Huge perfect orange yoke all in my pocket and all over my cell phone! What a mess!

done it more times than I care to admit

but~~I now have a solution~~allison, of "gavinandallison" makes these marvelous egg baskets that are lined with fabric, and has little pockets in it, so every egg has it's own, safe little pocket until I bring them in the house. I don't actually have one yet, but the pic looks great....I really don't need to be breaking eggs that have future Silkies in them

This same thing happened to me about 3 weeks ago. Fortunately, I had the exact phone duplicate laying around the office because of Verizons BOGO, so I didn't have to use my insurance plan.
