yes!!!! lol my grandpa lives in new cuyama and i go there alot to visit do you live near new cuyama? its by bakersfield and maricopa

I live about an hour north of Bakersfield.
(Showin my age here) You remember that old show "Petticoat Junction"? They lived in Pixley? That's where I live. Not in town, although I guess it wouldn't matter livestock-wise, because Pixley only has a population of about 400 and 399 of those raise games (LOL, the last one is a horse training facility.)

If Pixley can join, can I too?? I'm in the foothills above uhh, Fresno/Reedley -- on the way to Kings Canyon Nat'l Park. I once lived in Santa Maria, and loved it... miss the Saturday Tri-Tip bbq's on Broadway, although they don't seem to be as popular as they once were. My oldest son was born there... 10 years ago!

and Tammy, I wonder if you are one of my closer BYCers?

You are probably right, I see a dr. on the far side of Visalia from us and it takes about an hour to get there. But maybe I should have explained that I'm an "old lady, Sunday driver" and it takes me forever to get ANYwhere.

Hello All!

I'm in Denair; in the Turlock/Modesto area...about as central Cal as it gets! Was born and raised here, went to San Diego for school. Lost my jobs and moved back home. Now, I have a master's degree in music and am raising produce and chickens. Who knew?! Can't find "real work" so I'm making my own, and having a lot of fun doing it. I have found, so far, that the valley is very lightly represented here on BYC. I think we need to change that.
