changing or waiving ordinances in Katy, TX

I have seen a lot of threads regarding Houston laws, but has anyone had success dealing with the ordinances in Katy? We are on just under half an acre but it looks like we need to be on an acre or more? I have had BYCS for years when I lived out west and didn't expect it to be an issue in Texas.

Since 2005, Katy has not been very friendly with Geese and chickens. I moved here in 1998 and was happy to have neighbors with them and the great sounds... most of us- who like that- have moved to a rural setting where it is expected. ;-)
