Chicken breeders or Folks in South Africa?

@whoop whoop , poor guy, hope he kicked it's butt, ours go crazy for anything , frogs, mice, what ever happens too wonder in too close, i'm amazed not even our resident group of banded mongoose go near them.

see your eagle and raise you a troop of monkeys. Now dont get me wrong... i like Monkeys but I am going to have to make sure they cant get into the chicken coop or it will be easy pickings and me running around like a banshee chasing them away. this is another reason I dont want bantams... big healthy lady hens are harder for a monkey to catch. hahaha i hope!

No monkeys but a full house on mongooses

Macksy its the urgency that costs so much! Its possible to get day old chicks for as little as R8! But i understand your excitement and the need to make sure they're all hens.

However about your mixed flock... What if you got a Koekoek, a Rhode Island red, a Lohman brown, a black Australorp and a Zulu??
Then you'll have a variety and be able to identify them easily.

I batle to candle my incubator eggs? Perhaps my light isn't strong enough or the ambient light to bright?
Sometimes I'm convinced the shell of the egg is too thick.

Is there a trick to it?
