Chicken Combs

I've read a lot about the combs. Breed differences,colors, size, single and double.

Can someone tell me if combs are like fingerprints? The say the flukes on whales are as different as them, so are combs the same?

I don't know if they are like fingerprints, but they all are slightly different in shape, size and color. I often use the combs to tell similar individuals apart.
