In Texas, if anyone needs to know, I think Texas AM might provide that lab service. If I continue to have problems with mine I will be checking.

Out of curiosity, are these the only places where CA has these UC Davis labs? I'm in So. California (Santa Clarita area -- Los Angeles County). The San Bernardino office would be a couple hours away.

The only one in your area in San Bernadino, but they will let you use there FedEx account, so you could overnight poo samples instead.

Necropsies on chickens are free, so if you lose another, keep that in mind. Like others suggested, I'd worm the flock with something like Valbazen or Safeguard.

Well, regardless, very good info to know! I would guess that if they didn't charge, they'd be receiving tons of poo - LOL! I may contact them about my one hen that has had watery poo for so long. Maybe they can test it to see if they can figure out what's going on.

Kathy, just curious, did you ever have contact with Dr Hammerlund? He used to fill in at a vet office where I worked in Riverside. People would bring in chickens and other foul from all over So Cal to see him.
