Awww c'mon! I love that idea! Don't know if chickens recognize the variables of human speech. Mine are mostly fluent in treat speak!

I wish I could have a rooster that would be fun to name!

I allowed my sons each a hen of their own. I was most interested in the names they chose because the names we choose say so much about us.
1st son named his hen MakaPaka - which is a word he uses for snuggly or cuddly.
2nd son named his Cobijita - spanish for Blankie (security blanket).
I named the rooster Amador - loosely translates as loverboy
Husband named the poor bald backed hen Concentida - spoiled or beloved (she is the rooster's favorite)

I try not to name my birds, but since I have daughters you know it's going to happen.

Some of the names we have had:

Cogburn - the boss bird of the fixed yard flock.
Shadow - a Silkie rooster
Snowball - EE hen
Marshmallow - another EE hen
Jacue le Coq - Cuckoo Maran rooster
Buffy - a Buff Orp and our matriarch bird
Stella - Speckled Sussex hen
Helen & Clytemestra - a pair of Gold Laced Wyandottes
The Bronte Sisters - a trio of Barred Rock hens
Cicero - White Leghorn rooster
Blackjack - Black Jersey Giant rooster
Fred - Barred Rock Rooster
Noodles - EE rooster

There were others but those are the ones that come to mind just now.
