Chicken Pheasants Cross Experiment

I have 3 ring neck pairs, was wondering if I was going to try to cross with a chicken, what combination should I use ? Rooster and ringneck hen, Ringneck male with laying hens, game hens, bantam hen ?

Why do it? Pheasants are BEAUTIFUL without any crossing, that is why there are so many breeds

That would be like crossing a duck with a chicken. I don't think it will work.

Even if it would work, what would be the purpose?

Though it is possible for pheasants and chickens to create hybrids (http://www.zoochat.com/395/hybrid-ring-necked-pheasant-x-chicken-218998/), it is probably highly unlikely to happen under normal circumstances; I suspect that hybrids between the two would be better-known if they occurred more often.

Now that is surprising. I would have thought it not being possible outside of Gene Splicing or laboratory work of some sort.
