Should I allow our 10wk old chicks out while our yard is being irrigated? Here is a picture of their run.

The water only gets a couple of inches deep, and absorbs within a day or two. Should I just keep them in? This is the first time it's been irrigated since they've had their run.

Is it regular water that you can drink safely? If so I wouldn't think it would be any worse than when it rains here. Just know that their run will become muddy and since they still have grass in there, they could damage it.

Good luck!

No, uh....irrigation water...lol...not sure where it comes from (I think it's a well?), but you're not supposed to drink it, I know that.

I've decided to lock them in for a couple of days. They have a huge coop for just the 7 of them, so they'll survive just fine...and I'll give them a hanging cabbage or something that should keep them busy too!
