Chickens eat fish?

I know this is an older post but if it helps anyone, I feed my chickens fish with no problems. I don't worry about the skin or bones or anything. At first I would chop them into small finger size chunks that they would swallow right up. Now just a couple slices so they can get into it and off they go. Cuts the feed bill right down. No I don't cook it.

I know this is an old thread, but for those living in the midwest who know about the Asian carp problem, there is a potential solution looming on the horizon......

http://portal.nifa.usda.gov/web/cri...sive-asian-carp-as-sustainable-fish-meal.html

I sent an inquiry to some DNR folks who confirmed these carp are a good source of methionine.

I'd like to have 100 pounds of them chunked in the freezer. Dunk em in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes, call over the girls and stand back. I about lost a hand a while back feeding them some left over tuna steak.

For those who don't know about Asian carp...............
