Chicks eating PDZ!!!

After weeks of struggling with messy pine shavings and the poop smell, I have finally upgraded to sweet PDZ in the coop. As soon as I dumped it in the coop... my 4 nine week old pullets rushed over and started eating it! Would they die from it? Is it safe?

Depends on what dumped means... I have used it by sprinkling on top of the litter with no issues. The chickens scratching will further distribute it down throughout the litter.
