Christmas in October block Swap

It has been quiet on the board. We hosted a families New Years eve party with way too much food and then New Years morning we had a big brunch with our family and went to the beach for a long walk. I have not gotten to sewing for days but maybe today I will. I am enjoying the last of the holidays for now.

Sounds great. I've started the year attempting to quilt our Christmas blocks quilt. I've decided it's a great workout for the upper arms :yiipchick shoving the quilt under the throat of the machine. Happy New Year and Happy Happy Quilting.

I am thinking of making an UFO list for this coming year. It would be nice to get some of these half way made quilts completed.

When it comes to quilting and other sewing projects I feel like that little blue fish "I must get this quilt done, I must get this ............................ oh look at that pretty new pattern"

Dory? Lol

We are in eastern Texas an hour between Beaumont and Houston....in other words pick one direction or the other we are an hour away... Our town borders the trinity river it runs through ( twists and turns) all through the county... We are flooded.... This time the water has been higher than ever I've seen it.... And others are saying the same thing. I have several customers who buy eggs that can't get to me much as they are boating in and out of their homes. We haven't had it that bad but my pastures have been lake Dayton more than once....we have all worn out a pair of mud boots with all this rain....water,water everywhere...the train trestle will be under before long...it was receding instead now more rain....they will release more water from the dam into the trinity and we will watch it rise yet again. Stay dry....:fl

Chick among us, how do you manage to stay so cheerful! Water sounds awful. We are still ok here in Lincolnshire but that may be because a lot of the land was claimed from marshland so we have lots of ditches and dykes and rivers to handle water. Even big cities have been flooded in the UK. And still the rain comes.
