I once got a kitten from the humane society that had coccidiosis. I don't know how he got it or if he was even exposed to poultry, but do know that it's in the soil. I'd try to keep the dogs from eating chicken poop, but if they free range, that's going to be impossible. Just keep an eye on the dogs, and practice good hand sanitation. You might check with your vet on this one.Can Cocci be spread to dogs and humans? My dog loves the chicken poop, I I definitely had one chick die of this. I would hate this to spread to my dogs and family.
