Our buff orpington chicks have been thriving until now. They’re 3.5 weeks old, and we took them out for about an hour yesterday on the grass. This morning, when we cleaned out the brooder, we saw two bloody stools and poop covered in mucus. Are these signs of coccidiosis? They HAVE been outside. What should I do? I’ll try to get pictures later.

Photos of the poop?

If you are seeing poop with blood and mucous, then I would treat for Coccidiosis.
Corid can be found in the cattle section of Tractor Supply.

Corid liquid dosage is 2 teaspoons per gallon of water. Corid powder dosage is 1 1/2 teaspoons per gallon of water. Give for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
