Colorful Pheasant

Fancyfowl, they are beautiful. Hope you get more soon. I like the yellow. These ones are my first and I am amazed at the wonderful, bright colors. I want more.

They are not hard to find, not overly expensive, and a good starter bird to learn about keeping pheasant. And pretty:). Got mine off of Eggbid and have seen them on craigslist and several other places. They do look like parrots! They are non aggressive, generally shy and timid but mine are getting more comfortable with me. They are ornamentals.

People hunt Ringneck pheasant. Golden pheasant are not wild game birds. People use Golden's for multiple uses, such as pets, ornaments, using their feathers/crests for tying flies for fly fishing. Ringnecks have wonderful meat. If you have ever had pheasant meat you will know why people hunt them. and are extremely fun to hunt; they are very explosive off the ground too, which makes Ringnecks fun game to hunt. Ringnecks are also WILD animals.

I have read alot online and ONE Hunter club releases Goldens to Hunt and they are mounted as if they hunted them!
