You could try Craigslist. Someone might be looking to get rid of some chickens.

If you look at something like the barred rock, you can tell the girls fairly easily with early feathering.

It looks like you have a speckled sussex, were did you get it? They are one of the breeds I'm looking for.

I ordered it from Meyer's Hatchery. They have a minimum order, but I had a mix and match, ordered the Sussex, Wyandotte, barred rock, buckeye and easter egger from them. They sent me one additional for free and it turned out to be the leghorn. The most expensive part of that was the shipping.

Looking for a blue black splash Ameraucana rooster. Unfortunately I lost my blue ameraucana rooster. I did not hatch any of his chicks this season so there is no up and coming replacement. It is that time of year I am hoping someone has or knows someone who has an extra quality rooster they would be willing to part with. I know I always hate to cull a good rooster so hopefully we will both feel good about it.
