My 8 month old Silkie hen has a quite large crop (pictures attached). She eats, drinks, poops, and participates as normal in the coop with my other four Silkies (though note she hasn't laid an egg in about a month - not sure if that should be a concern?).
She has been to an avian vet who couldn't find any thing wrong with her, didn't think it was an impacted or sour crop, just slow.
But it remains that her crop is still quite large, and I'm aware of the risk of pendulous crop.
I've tried my hand at a DIY crop bra, based on some suggestions I've seen on here and after several failed prototypes (struggled with finding a pattern and measurements, which I know is always tailored to the bird), I'm trying to find a tried and tested product I can purchase online.
Problem is, I've only seen ones to buy from the US or UK, and as I'm in Australia, the postage is quite a lot!
So we get the the crux of my post - are there any Australian community members out there who have found somewhere in Australia to buy a crop bra??
Having said that, if anything I've described above about my Silkie hen that sounds concerning, please let me know!!
Thank you!
