Used buckeye rooster to get the healthy forger. Used red ranger hens to get bigger breast when butchered for meat and higher egg production.
After crossing twice I now have 3 part buckeye and 1 part red ranger. The "new breed" chicks are now hatching and I can now breed them to themselves to make the " REDBUCKS" stay at this percentage.
Two yrs prior to success I had lost my first year cross to a mink and had to start over.......but chicken people are also relentless.
