Dark Cornish Rooster over Delaware hens

I hope they turn out well. Not sure why I can't seem to find any pictures of the adults or much info at all about this mix. Kinda makes me wonder if there is a reason lol
I suspect the relative rarity of the dark cornish, combined with the lack of immediate utility (such as provided by the barred sex link combos) contributes at least as much to the lack of good prior examples - the field is flooded with RSL, BSL, etc and combinations of common crosses with Orps, RIR, NHR and other big birds. That, and your search has to eliminate hits from the very common term, "cornish cross". You are looking for wooden needles in a massive hay stack.

and there's @Ridgerunner, above, with a post (informative once again) that some of my suspicions are off. THANKS!!!! I'll learn this genetics thing eventually.

and I tried to do a search myself, looking for examples. Of course, the first thing I find is Dark Cornish x Orp. They had a follow up post the next year as they brought in a bunch of Delawares, but decided not to use the DC in that mix, due to feather coloration and difficulties getting a clean carcass. :(

and of course plenty of old text comments on various forums from 2011, 2012 when photos by commenters where much more rare, complaining of slower growth and low feed conversion relative to the commercial cross, but complimenting the flavor and acknowledging more breast than the typical, even if not CX-like. a number of people talking about trying the cross you propose, but no follow up. So of course I'm going to continue to follow this thread!
