NO no broodies, and I wouldn't entrust these eggs to a fickle broody, been there done that with bad results! IMO

I have two hovabators...and a king suro

the wheaten marans are for my breeding program, so maybe also the SPPRs if they turn out well

and yes the rest, I lost my mind...well I guess I did that a long time ago

I got this egg today, its the 2nd this week. I think its from a pullet just starting to lay.

I put it next to the #7 on the Maras Egg Color Chart, so I'm pumped!!! Going into incubator this weekend.

I have 3 pullets I managed to keep alive from very dark eggs last year,so I'm hoping the other 2 will lay as dark as this one.

I almost made the photo brighter on the computer becuase it almost looks fake, but then I figured I couldn't say it was "untouched"! I took the pic inside, and it is a cloudy day, but it looks exactly like that. If it doesn't hatch, I'm gonna cry.....
