He was very ealy maybe 8 weeks or so...he started trying to crow, then he got the long sickle feathers in. I have seen where they show looking at the neck feathers and if they are round it is a female and if it is more pointy it is male. This was him at 8 weeks and the other male we had.
I have one SGE, I am getting concerned she may be a roo. It has black coming in on one wing and the back of it's neck. Does anyone know? All I have seen are the hens that look so much like golden comets, or half white and orange. They are a little over 3 weeks old. The other light one is a salmon faverolle and the dark one is a barnelvder. I believe they are both females.

Of the three Starlight Green Eggers we have in our flock, we have one beautiful olive green layer, one pastel teal green layer, and one beautiful peach layer!
That happened to us. We had two light olive eggers and a tan egger. She was super mean, in addition to laying tan eggs, so we rehomed her as a brown egg layer.
