Grey Gables
Songster
Hi- I have four pullets that are 11.5 weeks old (RIR, EE, Blue Cochin, and a Black Australorp). They are all acting normally. No signs of distress. They’re all eating. I found some black poop while cleaning around the run today. I keep up with poop pickup so I know it happened today — so if it’s serious hoping I’m catching it early. The poop isn’t all black, just a portion and it looks solid, not runny. I have no idea which chicken it came from and see no other alarming poop. They are all eating the same feed and doing light (monitored) foraging around the coop/run. Mostly eating grass. Hoping this is just something weird passing through and I won’t have any further issues. But if anyone has any thoughts or insight, would love to hear what you think! Thanks everyone!
