Does my Rooster have Bumblefoot?

Hey everyone. Long time no see. I haven't posted recently because everything about my chickens has been pretty uneventful. However, my rooster has a swollen middle toe and there's a large black spot under it. I'm hoping it's not bumblefoot because the roosts in their coop are pretty high. If so, please let me know how I can help him.

Yep, that's a bumble. Bumble foot is caused by a small cut or splinter that gets infected, soak it in warm Epsom salt water for a a while and them you'll have to remove it and empty it. (Like a zit)
 
Yes, that appears to be bumblefoot. You can begin treating with a warm soak to his feet once a day in warm Epsom salts water, or something like Betadine. Some try to then remove the scab and try to squeeze the kernel of solid pus if there is an abscess. If it can come out, you then pack the wound with plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment and apply a gauze bandage with vet wrap strips, but not too tight to cut off circulation. Sometimes deeper surgery may be reqired, and there are other methods of treatment. Here is a good article:
