Duck Bonding

My duck, Swaddles, is about a year old. Her old pal passed away a while ago, and while I play with her, she is still lonely, especially when I'm at school. I would like to get another duck so she can have a friend, but you have to buy a minimum of two. I am worried that the two little ones will bond and exclude Swaddles. Can anyone help?

i am not looking for a particular breed as long as they are female. i cant say where as i live because my parents would have a fit. sorry

Well, my 9 mallard ducklings (7 weeks old) will follow me, my daughter, any of the 3 cats or the dog around if given the chance - although my cats think they are being chased and run away LOL. I think 2 duckling would happily imprint onto an adult duck

And I think the person asking where you are from was just thinking like what state you are in maybe what major city you are near

Also, if you don't care breed or gender maybe a rescue could help
