you can settle for up to 24 I usually make sure they are at room temp, this is important as you dont want them to sweat.

Basically you need to mark the eggs with the worst air cells and turn them cautiously and gently after you give them time to heal, some wont ever heal, but you still should keep upright during incubation and most do upright at hatch too.

I treat each egg differently it depends on how it heals, some I can barely turn for the entire incubation

humidity all depends on those air cells when they come! most of us start at 35% and adjust as needed after day 7

Okay...Sounds good! I will find a way to keep them tilted a bit on hatch out! The eggs are very fresh...Some were actually collected yesterday so that's good news (they will be here tomorrow)...I will set the humidity down to 40...it does vary a little bit in the incubator so it will keep it around there +/- a couple %'s! Depending on the air cells we will shoot for placing in the cradle to start turning 24 hours after we set them in. That way they can get some rest from being shipped! Thanks for the reply!

I just transferred Lui my tortoise into his inside housing unit for the winter. Tortoises that are kept inside are more prone to illnesses so I was just refreshing myself with the info so I can keep a close eye on her. Plus she is shedding... Was thinking it was the wrong time of year for that.

I never heard...how'd you lose your other one?

No, I dont do phone or text too much, but I do write things on paper and tape it around my wrist, lol

Any ideas on sex? I'm pretty sure the big blue/red one is a male. He preens for me already. The three I'm calling the three stooges i can't tell, and I *think* the little one is a hen. She and the chicken hang out together and avoid the three stooges, while the big one watches over the two girls.

The three stooges are just trouble makers. LOL but they don't act like the big male, or skittish like the little girl. They are the ones all up in my face trying to get me to feed them and hold them. lol
