Egg bound - how to break the egg

Thank you, everyone, for your words of support. I do have one of Julia's eggs in the incubator and it is developing. Due to hatch Easter weekend. I was reluctant to put in even one of her eggs because of her ongoing laying issues but today, it does give me some comfort. Perhaps she'll leave me with a daughter - that hasn't inherited her mother's laying issues.
