I found this very small brown egg, just outside the coop by the feed can, and between some pine trees. I have a variety of brown egg laying chickens, Silkies, and Guinea Fowl. I know the Guineas are due to start laying, but wasn't sure if they laid brown(my first guineas). I thought Silkies generally laid "white", and it may be possible that one of the heavy breeds just released an "early", underdeveloped egg. My last idea is that it could have fallen from the large pine tree by the coop, but most "wild" bird eggs are spotty. This has the exact same look as a chicken's egg, but just slightly larger than a quarter. Any thoughts or knowledge? Thanks in advance.
